Summer Stock Writer’s Theater, with Sarah Greek
“How could looking at our writing through the eyes of a theater director help to inspire us, or give us new scope for our creative pieces Through fun acting exercises, rehearsal techniques, script analysis and learning some of the “tricks of the trade” that makes stories come to life on stage, we will let our inner writer out onto the boards and into the spotlight to see what they might have to say in this space! How would an actor read your dialogue? How would a scene director handle your “stage directions”? Would a costumer know “the look” you’re going for on your leading characters? How can you keep the audience from drifting off to sleep in the dark theater of an afternoon matinee?!
Let’s be brave and have a little fun with something new – We don’t all write scripts or work in theater… But a good story coming to vibrant life is a challenge we can all rehearse together!”
